Welcome!
Hi! I'm a very proud Irishman from rural Ireland and I've been living in England for thirteen years. When I was growing up I felt I didn't 'fit in', for many reasons, some of which I'm still discovering and exploring. But I found solace in watching and listening to people share their stories on TV and radio interviews. I was comforted to know I wasn't alone. From then I've always known the true power of sharing stories.
I set up my podcast 'Be My Guest with Rory Smith' in 2024 to give some of the world's most fascinating people a platform to share their stories, wisdom and life lessons in the hope it enriches other people's lives.
My mission is to inform, influence and make change through people's stories.
I was brought up in the Irish countryside and after living in London for nine years I'm lucky to now live in an idyllic village in Kent, England with my husband and imaginary chickens. I also find a lot of joy in the garden and baking some fantastic Irish treats in the kitchen!

During the coronavirus pandemic Rory set up a long form interview Youtube channel talking to people who have overcome adversity with the aim of giving hope to others through their stories and life lessons.
The Youtube channel has over 9.1m impressions with the highest rated video, on male domestic abuse, gaining 132k views & counting
